Sanitary Worker / Cleaner (Janitorial Staff)

About the role

The Office of the Medical Superintendent, Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Layyah, invites applications from eligible residents of District Layyah for janitorial staff. Selected candidates will carry out cleaning and sanitation work in the hospital.

The appointment is purely temporary and is made through the Health Council. It is not against a sanctioned post and gives no right to permanent appointment or regular employment. Selected candidates will be posted to the relevant hospital or institution as required. They must perform the cleaning duties and any related tasks assigned by the hospital administration.

Selected staff must register on the hospital's biometric system and mark attendance every day. Salary payment is linked only to the biometric system, and any day without a biometric record counts as an absence. Absence for two consecutive days will lead to dismissal. Any complaint or unsatisfactory performance may also lead to dismissal without prior notice. Wages will be paid at the rate fixed by the government, through the approved method only, by crossed cheque or into a bank account.

Eligibility

• Applicants must be residents or domicile holders of District Layyah and must meet the prescribed criteria.

• Candidates must be medically and physically fit.

• Preference will be given to candidates with experience of cleaning work in a hospital.

• Age limit: 50 years or less.

• Recruitment will be made on merit, in line with the prevailing policy and instructions of the Government of Punjab.

Applications must be submitted by hand, in person, by the closing date. Attach attested copies of the following documents:

• National Identity Card (CNIC)

• Domicile certificate

• Educational certificates

• Experience certificate

• Recent photographs

Applications received after the closing date, or incomplete applications, will not be accepted.

At the interview, candidates must present their original CNIC, original educational certificates, domicile and experience certificate. No TA/DA will be paid to candidates attending the interview or selection process. The competent selection committee may accept or reject any application under the rules and make appropriate decisions about the recruitment process. If any information or document is found false or forged at any stage, the application or appointment may be cancelled.
