About the role

Punjab Board of Technical Education (PBTE), Lahore, invites applications from qualified, experienced and registered medical practitioners for engagement as Medical Advisor on a contractual basis.

The Medical Advisor will visit the Board's office at least twice a week to provide free medical consultation and advice to PBTE employees. Responsibilities include examining, recommending and verifying employees' medical reimbursement claims under the Medical Assistance Rules, 2025. The advisor will assess the nature of treatment obtained and provide professional recommendations on its medical necessity and the admissibility and justification of reimbursement claims.

The advisor will also verify medical certificates submitted by Board employees under the Medical Assistance Rules, 2025, and provide free medical consultation at his or her own clinic to PBTE employees and their family members seeking medical advice.

The monthly honorarium is Rs. 30,000, inclusive of all applicable taxes. Either party may terminate the contractual engagement at any time without prior notice.

Eligibility

Applicants must hold an MBBS degree from a recognized medical institution and be registered medical practitioners with the Punjab Medical Council or Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PM&DC), as applicable. At least five years of post-qualification professional experience in a government or semi-government hospital, or reputed private hospitals, is required.

Preference will be given to candidates residing or practising near Allama Iqbal Town or Muslim Town, Lahore.
