About the role
The Irrigation Department, Government of Sindh, invites applications from candidates holding domicile of District Umerkot for initial recruitment to support posts in Thar Division, Mirpurkhas. The vacancies are allocated to Umerkot Sub Division and Farash Sub Division for the financial year 2026–27.
The recruitment follows orders of the Honourable High Court of Sindh, Circuit Court, Mirpurkhas, dated 19 May 2026, and a Cabinet decision dated 1 December 2025.
The appointments are temporary initially and will become permanent after completion of the probation period under the Sindh Services (Appointment, Promotion and Transfer) Rules, 1973.

Eligibility
The age limit for every post is 18 to 28 years. A general relaxation of five years in the upper age limit is admissible under the Government of Sindh rules and policy, including the notification dated 6 March 2025.
Applicants must hold District Umerkot domicile. For Umerkot Sub Division vacancies, the listed place of posting is Umerkot taluka. Farash Sub Division vacancies list Pithoro taluka, except Tyndal and Greaser, which list Umerkot/Pithoro.
Government quota rules apply, including 5% for differently abled persons, 15% for women, 5% for minorities and 0.5% for transgender persons.
How to apply
Submit an application on the prescribed form to the Irrigation Department, Thar Division, Mirpurkhas, within 10 days of publication. Attach two passport-size photographs and attested copies of academic testimonials, CNIC, domicile, PRC, driving licence and experience certificate, where required.
Candidates already employed in government service must apply through their respective departments or the proper channel. Incomplete applications and applications received after the deadline will not be entertained. Canvassing in any form will disqualify a candidate.
Only eligible or shortlisted candidates will be called for a test or interview. No TA/DA will be admissible for attending the interview. The number of vacancies may be increased or decreased at any stage, and candidates will have no right to challenge such changes.
The issuing office is the Executive Engineer, Thar Division, Mirpurkhas.
