About the role

Lahore Electric Supply Company Limited (LESCO) invites applications from eligible candidates with Balochistan domicile through Open Testing Service (OTS). The appointments are on an open-contract basis with a market-based lump-sum package and a three-month probation period.

LESCO is incorporated under the Companies Ordinance 1984 and supplies electricity to 7.28 million consumers. It has more than 19,000 employees and serves Lahore, Kasur, Sheikhupura, Okara and Nankana districts. Selected candidates may be posted anywhere within LESCO's jurisdiction according to company requirements.

The appointments are non-pensionable, carry no long-term benefits and will not be converted into permanent positions at a later stage.

Eligibility

Only candidates with Balochistan domicile are eligible to apply. The minimum passing mark in the written test is 50%.

• Assistant Manager / Junior Engineer (Electrical): B.Sc./B.E. in Electrical or Electronic Engineering with a first division from an HEC-recognized university, together with valid Pakistan Engineering Council registration as an Electrical or Electronic Engineer.

• Assistant Manager (Customer Services): M.Sc. in Physics, M.A. in Statistics, Mathematics or Economics, M.Com., MBA, M.Sc. in Computer Science, or B.Sc. Engineering with valid PEC registration, from an HEC-recognized university or institute.

• Assistant Manager (Accounts): CA Inter or ICMA Inter; alternatively, MBA in Finance, M.Com. or BBA (Honours), representing 16 years of education in accounting or finance from an HEC-recognized university or institute, with two years of experience.

• Assistant Manager (HR): MBA, MPA, M.A. in HR, M.Sc. in Computer Science or Statistics, a master's degree in English, or an equivalent qualification from an HEC-recognized university or institute. At least two first divisions from matriculation to master's level are required. Candidates must be capable of operating computers, particularly Windows and MS Office applications.

• Assistant Manager IT (MIS Reports): Sixteen years of education or a master's degree in IT, Computer or Software Engineering, Telecommunications, or an IT-related discipline, with at least 60% marks, from an HEC-recognized university acknowledged by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan.

Computer knowledge, including MS Office, Windows, internet and email, is compulsory for all posts. Candidates who have completed their degrees may apply; candidates awaiting final results will not be considered. CGPA will be evaluated using the HEC standard chart available on the HEC website.

The stated age limits already include general age relaxation. Scheduled Caste and Buddhist candidates are allowed three years of relaxation. Government servants with at least two years of continuous service on the closing date are allowed ten years of relaxation in the upper age limit.

Employees of government, semi-government organizations, autonomous bodies and state-owned enterprises must apply through the proper channel. An advance copy may be submitted, but shortlisted candidates must produce an NOC from their department at interview.

Dismissed or screened-out employees, and candidates with a criminal record, are ineligible. LESCO may increase or decrease the number of posts or cancel recruitment at any stage without assigning a reason.

How to apply

2. Pay the Rs. 80 application fee through your banking application. Select 1-Bill Payment, enter your PSID, verify the details and complete payment. OTS charges a fee of which applicants pay 50% and LESCO pays the remaining 50%.
3. Upload copies of all educational documents, both sides of the CNIC, domicile certificate, experience certificate where required, PEC registration certificate where required, a recent photograph and all other relevant documents through the online application portal.
4. Follow the online application instructions and OTS guidelines carefully. Correct personal, academic and experience information before submission; changes after submission will not be accepted.

Applications submitted by hand or received after the deadline will not be entertained. Incomplete applications will not be considered. Applications sent through courier services do not bind LESCO or OTS to accept them.

Only eligible candidates meeting the criteria will be allowed to appear in the written test. Only candidates qualifying the written test will be shortlisted for interview and possible employment. No TA/DA will be paid for the written test or interview. The test fee is non-refundable and cannot be transferred to another post.

Misrepresentation can lead to disqualification and exclusion from future LESCO tests or examinations. Academic certificates, degrees, domicile and police verification will be checked before appointment. Employment obtained using bogus or fake documents will be withdrawn from the outset, and salaries paid will be recovered.
