About the role

Multan Electric Power Company Limited (MEPCO) is a public-sector electricity distribution company serving more than 9.07 million consumers. It has over 15,000 employees and operates across 15 districts of South Punjab. Its mandate is to provide reliable and safe electricity to consumers within its jurisdiction.

MEPCO seeks dynamic, high-calibre professionals with a Balochistan domicile or valid residence certificate for three Assistant Manager positions. Appointments will be on a one-year contract, extendable subject to satisfactory performance. These are non-pensionable positions with a lump-sum pay package under MEPCO policy. They carry no long-term benefits and will not be converted into permanent positions at any stage.

Eligibility

Applicants must possess a Balochistan domicile or a valid residence certificate of Balochistan.

Assistant Manager (MM)

Applicants must hold an MBA, M.Com, MSc in Computer Sciences, or MSc/MA in Statistics, Mathematics or Economics, with at least two first divisions in their academic career. They must be capable of operating a computer, particularly Windows and MS Office.

Assistant Manager (Computer / IT)

Applicants must have a master's degree or equivalent with at least 60% marks in Computer Science, Information Technology or Computer Software Engineering, or a four-year/eight-semester honours degree in Computer Science duly recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC).

Assistant Manager (HR/Admin)

Applicants must hold an MBA, MPA or MA in HR, with at least two first divisions in their academic career. They must be capable of operating a computer, particularly Windows and MS Office.

Age and other conditions

For all three posts, the minimum age is 21 years and the maximum age is 28 years, plus five years of general age relaxation under Government of Pakistan policy, assessed on the closing date. The applicable MEPCO age relaxation is already included in these limits, and no further general age relaxation will be granted. Government servants who have completed two years of continuous government service by the closing date will be allowed ten years of age relaxation.

Candidates dismissed or terminated from any organization, or those with a criminal record, are ineligible. At the interview, candidates must provide a declaration to this effect on non-judicial stamp paper worth Rs. 100.

Apply online through the Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB) portal at http://mepco.iub.edu.pk Upload copies of academic certificates and degrees, CNIC, domicile and the paid challan fee document before the deadline. Applications will only be considered when submitted through this portal.

Incomplete applications, applications received after the deadline, and applications submitted through any other medium will not be entertained. No claim concerning such applications will be accepted.

Candidates serving in government or semi-government organizations or autonomous bodies must apply through the proper channel and provide a No Objection Certificate from their respective department on its letterhead.

Candidates must produce all original documents at the interview. No travelling or daily allowance will be admissible.

Applications are submitted at the applicant's own risk and cost. If any information is found to be false at any stage, during induction or later service, candidature or employment will be terminated and any pecuniary benefits received may be recovered.

Appointments are subject to completion of all procedural, legal and administrative formalities. MEPCO reserves the right to withhold or cancel recruitment for any or all posts at any stage without assigning a reason.
