About the role

The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) invites applications for the written part of the CSS Competitive Examination (CE-2027). The examination will be governed entirely by the CSS CE Rules, 2019, with no exceptions.

The written examination is tentatively scheduled to commence on Wednesday, 27 January 2027. It will be conducted in 19 cities in accordance with the prescribed rules.

Eligibility

Only candidates who have qualified in MPT CE-2027 are eligible to apply.

Candidates must hold at least a bachelor's degree with Second Division and their own domicile certificate.

Candidates must be aged 21–30 years on the cutoff date. A two-year age relaxation is admissible for the categories specified in Rule 6.

The cutoff date for determining age, qualifications, domicile and all other eligibility criteria is 31 December 2026, in accordance with Rule 5.

Under Rules 11(20) and 11(21), candidates are provisionally admitted at their own risk. If found ineligible at any stage, their candidature will be cancelled, regardless of their participation or qualification in the process. Candidates must ensure full compliance with all eligibility requirements before applying.

How to apply

1. Visit J92LINK0X and use the Apply Online link. Candidates who qualified in MPT-2027 must log in with their existing MPT login and password.
2. Complete the profile and generate a 16-digit PSID for payment of the Rs. 2,200 examination fee, well before 25 November 2026. A PSID is mandatory for online payment.
3. Pay through the 1-Link facility using an ATM, mobile banking application such as Easypaisa or JazzCash, internet banking, or over the counter at any 1-Link member bank against the PSID. Payments through the old FPSC Challan Form (TR-6), cheque, bank draft or pay order will not be accepted.
4. After depositing the fee through the PSID, log in again through the Apply Online link and enter the remaining required details to complete the online application.
5. Fee payment alone does not constitute submission. After payment, select optional subjects according to Appendix-I, occupational groups and the examination centre. After submitting, confirm that the application appears in Application History. Changes may not be allowed later.
6. Send a signed hard copy of the online application, together with attested copies of educational documents, CNIC and domicile, and four photographs, to FPSC. These documents must reach FPSC before 4 December 2026. Documents received after the deadline will not be accepted.

Admission certificates for the CSS written examination will be uploaded to the FPSC website by 8 January 2027. Candidates must download their certificates themselves; separate postal intimation will not be issued.
